Talbott Ingram, Project Manager.
Tal graduated with an honors degree from Hobart College as well as being named a three-time college All-American in sailing. Tal went on to pursue Olympic goals as part of the US Sailing team. He graduated from the New England Fuel Institute and worked for the largest propane company in the Northeast as a lead installer. His experience is in designing, installing and servicing high efficiency equipment with the goal of making existing systems more efficient. Installations range from small water heaters to multiple heating systems of commercial grade. Tal hold many licenses and certifications, including: HI & HIII unlimited NC heating licenses, Tennessee Heating license, OSHSA safety certifications, Class 1C hoisting license, and holds a Class B Drivers license with HAZMAT, tanker, and air brake endorsements.
Joe Hallock, MA, Operations.
Joe coordinates the installation of FLS Energy systems. He is a graduate of the Appalachian State University Appropriate Technology Masters Degree program. He has extensive experience designing, installing and repairing solar energy systems, as well as knowledge of energy efficiency, biofuels, hydro and wind power technologies. He also has experience as a leader of educational projects related to renewable energy and sustainable living. Previously, Joe has served as president of the Appalachian State University Sustainable Energy Society, as assistant operations manager at Home Energy Partners in Asheville, NC, and as facilities manager at North Carolina Outward Bound School.
John Gravitt, Solar Systems Designer.
John has design experience in power distribution as well as a twelve-year work history in residential and commercial construction. He graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in Mechatronics Engineering where he completed project work with solar thermal and photovoltaic systems.
Nadine Hamby, Operations Administration.
Nadine grew up on a small farm in Washington State. She graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Communications. After graduation, Nadine moved to Los Angeles to be a Vista Volunteer for the LA Community Design Center and continued taking computer classes. She was even the editor for her community newsletter in Seattle before moving to Asheville three years ago. Nadine brings to FLS Energy a knack for organization and clear communication. She has continued to take classes and is working on a computer technology degree.
Jessica Ingram, Operations Team.
Jess grew up in Massachusetts, attended Hobart & William Smith College in Upstate New York and graduated cum laude with a degree in Architectural Studies. She worked for seven years at Hurricane Island Outward Bound School as a sailing instructor and Island Bo-sun. Jess then spent four years building and inspecting ropes courses for Project Adventure. After living in ME, FL, CO, and NY, she has decided to call North Carolina home. At FLS Energy, Jess is developing and managing the Quality Program, Intellectual Property and Grant Administration of the Easy Solar Kits, as well as managing IT. Jess lives in Asheville with her husband and co-worker, Tal Ingram, and their dog, Cooper.
Kerrie Hyatt, Accounts Payable Coordinator.
Kerrie is no stranger to sustainability. Before working with FLS Energy, she was the accounts manager for a major green builder in Western North Carolina. Kerrie grew up in Lexington, Kentucky and holds Business and Accounting degrees. She stays busy outside of work taking a full load of courses as she pursues another accounting degree, spending time with her daughter, running and training for marathons, while still finding time for her family and friends.
Joanna Malcolm, Sales and Marketing Assistant.
Joanna brings to FLS Energy a background in providing quality customer service and giving close attention to detail. Joanna’s varied work experience includes supervisory positions at natural foods stores and several years working for a national promotional staffing agency based in Asheville. At FLS Energy, her energies are focused strategy and development for sales, marketing, media and public relations. Joanna has a degree in Music from the University of South Carolina. When not in the office, you can find Joanna performing with the event band Orange Krush, renovating her home with her soon-to-be husband, and discovering the world of gluten free baking.
Chris Wachholz, RN, MBE, MEM, Project Development.
Chris heads the FLS Energy Raleigh, NC area office. He earned a Bachelor in Science in Nursing from Marquette University and after working in critical care, emergency and hyperbaric medicine in Milwaukee, WI, relocated to Durham, NC to become the first manager of Divers Alert Network, (DAN) an international health and safety non-profit organization at Duke University. While at Duke, Chris earned an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business and Masters of Environmental Management (MEM) degree from the Nicholas School of the Environment, where he also worked as Director of Development before leaving to join FLS Energy in Spring of 2009. Chris's board service includes the Orange County Commission for the Environment, North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association, North American Building Materials Re-Use Association and Coral Reef Alliance. Chris is a NC licensed general contractor and started two green building construction ventures focusing on building materials re-use and historic preservation.
Sara Jarrell, Warehouse Support.
Sara comes to FLS Energy following travels in South America, Mexico, Canada, England, and all over the states. She returned to Western North Carolina with desires to do what she can to make the world a better place and to continue learning new things, both of which make her a great asset to FLS Energy’s warehouse operations. Outside of work, Sara enjoys riding her bike, cooking and spending time with her partner and their dog. She is also certified by Barnett Bicycle Institute as an Expert Bicycle Mechanic.
Chris Dunbar, Construction Manager.
Chris has worked in the construction industry for the past 10 years, including work as an Army Sergeant with the 844th
Construction Battalion during the Iraq war. After returning from the
war, Chris became a project manager for a steel company working with
local architects, builders, and engineers to successfully incorporate
structural and architectural steel details into their jobs. Chris was
excited to come on board at FLS Energy and take on the challenge of
helping a young company become successful. When not at work, you’ll find Chris hunting, or spending time with his wife, daughter and friends on their farm.
